Attached is the Bangla and English Press Release of the joint statement
issued today, 14 January 2026, by the BD-CSO Process and the EquityBD
network. We have given the title as:

“Proposed Microcredit Bank: A Risky Shift Threatening Bangladesh’s Proven
Social Finance System.”

The statement reflects the collective position of 545 local NGOs engaged in
the BD-CSO Process and 70 partner organizations of the EquityBD network,
expressing concerns regarding the proposed Microcredit Bank and its
potential impacts on Bangladesh’s established microcredit plus model and
grassroots social services.
