[Media] Press invitation to a press conference on Climate allocation in the national budget 2025-26 and Civil Society perspective

Greetings from Equity & Justice Working Group, Bangladesh (EquityBD).



As our regular advocacy, we are planning to organize a press conference
titled "Climate Allocation in the National Budget-2025-26 and Civil Society
Perspective" at the *Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) in Dhaka, 87 Purana
Paltan Line, Paltan Tower, **Dhaka, from 11.00 am to 12.00 pm.*



As you know, yesterday, the Honorable Financial Advisor to the interim
government proposed the budget for the fiscal year 2025-26. In the budget
review, we observed that the climate budget was not allocated as per the
demands of the climate-vulnerable coastal community, including civil
society and experts. It's traditional, rather less so.



We cordially invite you to assign one of your reporters, along with a
photojournalist, to cover the issue for the sake of the people’s interest.
