 Dear Friends in Media ,

Greetings from COAST Foundation!

It's our pleasure to invite you to a seminar on *CSOs’ ( *Civil Society
Organizations*) Role in the 4th Round of GPEDC ( *Global Partnership for
Effective Development Co-operation* ) Monitoring, organized by COAST
Foundation. The workshop will be held on *18 January 2025, at *CIRDAP
Auditorium, Dhaka, from **10:30 AM to 1:00 PM*.

The Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC)
monitors global commitments on development effectiveness, emphasizing
country ownership, results, inclusive partnerships, and transparency. The
4th monitoring round highlights private sector engagement, as discussed in
Kampala by the OECD, UNDP, governments, and stakeholders.

While Bangladesh has initiated this process with development partners,
CSOs, and other stakeholders, many CSOs remain unaware of their role. This
seminar aims to bridge that gap, ensuring CSOs’ voices are amplified in the
government-led mechanism.

*We cordially invite you to the seminar to cover the news in your esteemed
and popular news media. Please send your reporter who is covering the GPEDC
related issues along with a photojournalist to the seminar.*

Sincerely
*Mustafa Kamal Akanda (Mr)*
