Greetings from COAST Foundation (www.coastbd.net), CDP [Coastal Development
Partnership] and CPRD [Center for Participatory Research and Development].

*Dr. Shamsul Alam, Honorable State Minister [Ministry of Planning] *has
confirmed his participation as chief guest. Apart Members of the Parliament
[MPs] from coastal and plain land will also be invited and participate in
the event. So, you are also requested to send a journalist to collect the
news and photos of this event.

You already informed that the government has declared the national budget
amount of BDT 6.78 trillion [Six Lac Seventy-Eight Thousand Corer] for the
coming fiscal year 2022-23. The proposed budget hardly reflected our
government commitment to fight climate change impact through climate
financing. This ignoring resulted in millions of people suffering with loss
of livelihood in coastal and non-coastal areas.

However, in the above context, we consider this seminar to be very timely
and we look forward to your kind participation in the open discussion on
the proposed National Budget for 2022-23.
